To find a nearby machine shop, search for the machining process and your city or region. Supplier Atlas helps you compare listed capabilities and contact candidate shops. Enter a location explicitly; the directory does not automatically use your device location.
Search suppliersMake the search specific
Try CNC milling near Chicago, turning in Texas, or machining near Cleveland. A process and location give you a better starting point than a general search for a manufacturer. If the results are too narrow, widen the region or remove optional certification filters.
Compare fit before distance
Confirm that a shop can handle your material, part dimensions, tolerances, quantity, and finish. Ask about inspection requirements and subcontracted operations. A shop farther away may be a better fit if it routinely produces the kind of part you need.
Prepare a useful request for quote
Send a model, dimensioned drawing, material specification, quantity, required finishes, delivery location, and desired date. Identify critical dimensions and any certification or traceability requirements. Ask suppliers to state exclusions and assumptions so you can compare responses.

Why do I need to type my city?
Atlas does not automatically detect your location. Add a city, state, or region to the search, or use the map to explore an area. A search for near me alone does not identify where you are.
Are these the closest machine shops?
Atlas searches the suppliers in its directory, not every machine shop in a region. Map pins use approximate postal-code or city centers. Verify the actual address and route directly before visiting.
Can I find a shop for a one-off prototype?
Use machining capabilities to find candidates, then ask about prototype work, minimum order quantities, material availability, and lead time. A capability listing alone does not establish that a shop accepts one-off jobs.
